A Tribute to Moms on Mothers Day
The women who bring their children to Children of Blessing Trust always inspire me. They are dedicated to do what is best for their children even in the midst of difficult situations. They travel long distances to bring their children to our centres. They carve out time in their busy schedules to make sure their child gets the help he or she needs. They find comfort in knowing that they are not alone. They find joy in the progress their children are making.
Here are some of the things the moms have said to me about bringing their children to our programs:
“I am encouraged to see the progress my son is making. The porridge he gets here helps Chisomo to be strong and healthy. Now he has started saying the alphabet and numbers and is speaking well. I never knew a child like him could learn and develop.”
“When my son started coming here he could not walk and was very malnourished. He attended physiotherapy , preschool and the Nutrition Program. Initially he started walking with a walking frame. Now he is now able to walk on his own and walks 10 minutes to Preschool everyday near our house.”
“I thought I was the only one. Now I know I am not alone.”
